THE GAMES ROOM

If ever there was a photo that could fill me with nostalgia, then this would be it.  This is where our parents dropped us off, we would take out possessions into the tunnel you can see there, and fill your locker next to your bed with your things.  It was always a sad ceremony, both for me, and when watching other boys doing it too.

To the left of the entry to East House you can see the double door entrance to the games room.  The games room contained a haggard snooker table, a very overused dart board and some other things that we rarely used.  It was mainly a place where you could just lurk and chat, without too much oppression.  The games room was mainly ran by the prefects as I recall when I was there.

To the right of the entrance to East House, you see the remains of the PE block.  To many of you ex-pupils delight, it is completely dilapidated and the roof is gone.  There are pictures of this for you to enjoy elsewhere in the site.

To the rear of the picture, you can see the chimneys of my home for a while.  East House still brings back odd emotions to me, and I like to look at this picture from time to time for that.

Finally a reminder.  This is where we all stood for inspection prior to assembly.  Arranged by age and class in lines in front of the Games Room.  Remember that?
