Autobiographical Bit...

After I left Duncan Hall in 78, my younger brother Kevin and I went to a day comprehensive in Norwich called Bowthorpe. I was there until 1982 when I was accepted into The Great Yarmouth College of Art & Design, to do a 2 year course in Fashion Design. Whilst there, between 1982 and 1984. Then I moved to London and attended The London College of Fashion between 1984 to 1986. Had a successful collection and started my own label, which had good media coverage. I also did some freelancing for the UK branch of the toy company Hasbro. After a while, they asked me to join them full-time and I ended up staying for 8 years. When Hasbro killed the line that I was working on, I got the incentive that I needed to come to the US, which I had always wanted to do. Learning that there was a perfect position for me at Lucasfilm, I called them up and they invited me over for an interview. I have now been here for 3 years and love it. I live in San Francisco and manage the International product development on Star Wars and Indiana Jones. That basically means directing the development on any product that gets made to do with those properties made outside of US....anything from toys, to apparel, to home furnishing etc. It is a fun job. My family is still in the UK. Some in London and mostly in Norwich.

Kumars is without doubt far too lucky (or talented).  Skywalker Ranch???  For gods sakes, I am 30 and still dream about visiting Skywalker ranch!!!  Developing Star Wars toys???  (sob sob)
